As you probably already know, I love traveling to new places. Working in the hospitality/tourism industry, I’ve been able to go to some really neat cities; Anchorage, Alaska, New Orleans, Louisiana, NYC, New York, Reno, Nevada, Salt Lake City, Utah, Chicago, Illinois, Atlanta, Georgia, Palm Springs, San Diego, LA, San Francisco, California.. the list goes on, and I’m fortunate enough to stay in some cool spots. Each place I visit I always ask myself, “could I see myself living here?” and most of the time my answer is “yes!” BUT, there’s no denying that as the week goes on in a new city, it just isn’t home. The palm trees, blue skies, smell of salty ocean.. there’s no better place to come home to than Florida. And while I love the hustle and bustle of a city, (can’t wait to be back in NY!) it’s just not the same! There’s no place like Florida.
As a true Florida girl, I’m constantly looking for something light, breezy and easy to throw on. I love this wrap-dress from XIX Palms, (carried in Shandy Style Boutique in St. Pete for the locals!) a bohemian lifestyle brand based on the island of Oahu. What I love most about this brand is the story behind it. The owner, Ali, created the dresses with the mindset that each one is versatile for the everyday girl, whether she’s at the beach, a festival, or out with friends. I love that the dress can go from day to night so effortlessly, since often in Florida we go from the beach or boat straight out for the night. The material is super light-weight, one of the lightest maxis I now own, and I love the cut. I can imagine it would be perfect for the Hawaiian weather, and definitely is ideal for Florida.

I haven’t been to Hawaii yet.. hmm. Maybe that’s next on my list?
