Five Ways to Stay Motivated During Your Work Week

Do you ever feel like your “to-do” list is never ending and you can’t seem to stay focused? Or maybe you are having a hard time knowing when to disconnect, and find time for yourself during the busy week? We’ve all been there. In today’s post, I partnered with Athleta to share five ways to stay motivated, and how you can find your inner confidence to meet your goals for the week.

1. Remind Yourself Why You Started

Asking yourself why you started in the first place is a great way to stay motivated. What results do you want to see? Where do you want to be when the week is done? I usually start my week with a long “to-do” list, and it feels great by the end of the week to be able to say, “that’s accomplished!” Ask yourself what you want out of the week, and it usually will come back to motivate you.

2. Start Small, Then Build

The smaller tasks that are holding you back from your end goal is a good starting point. Smaller victories that you can cross off will help you feel closer to where you want to be. Little by little, you will get there.

3. Create Confidence

What is something you wear that inspires and empowers you to be the best version of yourself? One of my favorite ways to stay motivated is wearing something that gives me confidence and makes me feel excited for the work week, like these leggings from Athleta’s new fall campaign. (They feel like BUTTER and have pockets!!) Wearing a new dress, or comfortable shoes or your favorite go-to outfit can totally help take a turn in your work week.

4. Take Time for Yourself

Take a couple of hours during the day without electronics. Pause and be present. Try meditating before you start your day or before you go to bed. Write down five things you’re grateful for from the day. Try a hot bubble bath with a book you never get to read. Taking some time out of your day to pause can restore mindfulness and help with concentration.

5. Make it Happen

Set your plans to action. Make a schedule and give it a shot. Take your time and little by little.. you will get there.
